Olga Siskou is an Assistant Professor of Health Economics, Tourism and Migration at the Department of Tourism Studies of the University of Piraeus. At the undergraduate level, she teaches courses such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Tourism Economics – Tourism Sociology, and Health Tourism (Medical, Thermal, Wellness), while at the postgraduate level, she teaches “Health Systems and Health Insurance Organizations” in the University’s M.Sc. Program in Health Economics and Management. She also serves as an academic advisor for Ph.D. candidates within the Tourism Studies Department. She has an extensive and internationally recognized research and publication record, and serves as Guest Editor for the Special Issue “Health Tourism: Challenges and Innovations” of the international scientific journal Tourism and Hospitality. Furthermore, she is a Member of the Board of Directors of the University of Piraeus Property Development and Management Company, as well as a Member of the University’s Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee. In tandem, she collaborates scientifically with the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Also, she serves as the National Representative to the Health Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
