Ο Δρ. Σταύρος Γ. Ευθυμίου είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Τουριστικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς. Είναι διδάκτορας του Τμήματος Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών της Σχολής Οικονομικών, Επιχειρηματικών και Διεθνών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς. Έχει πολυετή εμπειρία και εξειδίκευση ως σύμβουλος επιχειρήσεων σε θέματα στρατηγικής, επενδύσεων και ανταγωνιστικότητας. Συμμετείχε ενεργά στην διαχείριση και υποστήριξη ερευνητικών και ευρωπαϊκών προγραμμάτων. Οι ερευνητικές του εργασίες έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε έγκριτα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πλήθος διεθνών επιστημονικών συνεδρίων. Τα επιστημονικά και ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στη διεθνή οικονομία, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη μελέτη των άμεσων ξένων επενδύσεων, της οικονομικής μεγέθυνσης και προσαρμογής στο διεθνές περιβάλλον, καθώς και της τουριστικής ανταγωνιστικότητας και ανάπτυξης.
